Vinyasa Foundations (Level I) - Students are supported in connecting to their body and breath through a mindful practice of foundational poses. This is an informative and nourishing class for those interested in starting to build strength and endurance in a beginning Vinyasa practice, where time will be given to break down particular poses and explore alignment as needed.
Gentle - This class brings harmony to body and mind with simple, mindful movements to lubricate the joints and muscles. It follows an easy pace with an emphasis on gentle postures, breathing and relaxation. If you are new to yoga this is a great place to start. Monday's Gentle Yoga is a karma class, free to all.
Vinyasa Flow (Level II) - This class links movement with breath to improve strength, flexibility and balance. Postures will generate heat and strengthen and tone the body. Move, sweat and burn calories. This is a more vigorous class and is appropriate for those familiar with Vinyasa and anyone who wants a challenge.
Restorative - A 45 minutes class to unwind and return to your center of balance, using various props for support. This is a slow, deep practice with particular attention paid to areas where we typically hold tension, including the neck, shoulders and hips. All postures are suitable and adaptable for all levels.
Chair Yoga - Perform postures and breathing practices with the aid of a chair. Experience the many benefits of yoga without having to get up and down from the floor. Suitable for all ages and levels, improving mobility, balance, circulation, respiration, and clarity of mind.
Yoga 4 Youth – A 45 minutes class for youth in grades 2 through 5. Warm up activities, breathing exercises, practice of traditional postures, songs and yoga games. Youth refine their balance and coordination, develop focus and concentration, and get a boost in self confidence while learning how to help themselves through anxiety and stress. This class costs $20 per month or $6 per class.
Gentle Yin - The mindful and accessible poses of a Gentle yoga class combined with longer held Yin poses to lubricate the joints and effect deeper tissue and calm the nervous system in the body.
Restapeutic - Similar to Restorative, this class is a slow, deep practice, with the addition of a therapeutic emphasis. It is trauma informed and focused on self-care.
Family Yoga - We partner with the Healthy Steps program to offer a class for the whole family. Best for kids age 6 and under with their parent(s) or guardian(s). The class includes age appropriate postures and movement plus games, music, story time and a craft. Please bring a snack and water for your child(ren). This class costs $3 per family.
Hatha Yoga Flow - This class will have a combined focus on physical movements, breathing, and mindfulness. Be prepared to be challenged and to break a light sweat. You should leave class feeling longer, looser, and relaxed. Come in with an open mind, no judgments, and a sense of humor. If you have a body and can breathe, then Hatha Yoga Flow with Andrea is for you!
Yin - This class will focus on passive postures held for longer periods of time. Yin yoga targets the connective tissue helping to increase circulation in the joints and improve flexibility.
